"Traveling through the UP on our way to Marquette and came across this little gem! I had a Neapolitan chicken, my husband had the pan fried walleye, and my son had the focaccia chicken sandwich. We left full and satisfied! If you’re looking for a great dinner place look no further! "

"Very nice surprise! Stopped there travelling thru Michigan. Food was amazing and well priced. One of the best walleye I’ve ever had. Kids loved the spaghetti meatballs and my wife enjoyed her steak that was perfectly cooked. Highly recommend if you’re in the area."

"This restaurant is rustic looking, very clean, and the employees were so welcoming! Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Lots of menu options for reasonable prices. The food was outstanding and came out fast and hot! Kudos to the team at Hardwood! Would recommend to anyone traveling through the area."

"Casual atmosphere. Excellent food. Friendly service. Had the fried green beans. Very tasty. Huge portion, so bring a friend to share. Tibs were perfect!"

"As an out-of-towner, I showed up at the restaurant near closing time, but the staff was friendly and attentive. The portion sizes are more than generous and overall a great rustic UP feel to this establishment. Carl the chef is quite the character and had a memorable experience at this establishment. I'll be sure to visit again once back in the UP."
